Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [REGISTERED LEGAL ENTITY NAME & FORM — e.g. Smartmind Innovations LLC] (“Smartmind Innovations”, “we”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use Erudizio. We are the data controller for that processing. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, this policy describes your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and profile details you provide.
  • Content data — the ideas, prompts, voice notes, brand details, and text you submit, and the ebooks, covers, and marketing copy generated for you.
  • Billing data — your plan, credit balance, and payment history. Card details are collected and stored directly by Stripe; we do not store your full card number.
  • Usage and technical data — log data, device and browser information, and basic analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

  • to provide, personalize, and improve Erudizio;
  • to generate your ebooks, including sending your inputs to AI model providers for processing;
  • to process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud;
  • to communicate with you about your account, transactions, and support requests;
  • to send product updates or marketing where you have opted in or where permitted, with an option to unsubscribe;
  • to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the service you signed up for (account, generation, billing).
  • Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the service and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent — for optional marketing communications and any non-essential cookies; you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to meet accounting, tax, and other legal requirements.

4. AI processing of your content

To generate your ebooks, the content you submit is sent to third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI) that process it on our behalf to return text and images. We only send what is needed to perform the generation you request. These providers act as our processors under contractual terms and do not use your content to train their models where their business terms provide for that; we choose providers and settings intended to protect your content.

5. Sharing and sub-processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Erudizio, under agreements that require them to protect it, including:

  • AI model providers (e.g. OpenAI) — text and image generation;
  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Cloud hosting & storage (e.g. Amazon Web Services) — running the app and storing your files;
  • Email delivery — transactional and, where opted in, marketing email;

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers are located in the United States or other countries outside the EEA/UK. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) to protect your data.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, invoices) to meet legal obligations.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@erudizio.com. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to run the service (for example, to keep you signed in) and, where you consent, to understand usage. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser or any cookie controls we provide.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures — such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Erudizio is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
